Fix8 AI Help

Install on Wix

Use your own dashboard code, then test the published site.

Before you start

You need an active Fix8 AI Chat account and your account's public embed key.

You need a paid plan and a connected domain for Custom Code.

Install the floating chat

  1. In the site dashboard, open Settings > Development & integrations > Custom Code.
  2. Choose + Add Custom Code and paste your floating snippet.
  3. Choose All pages and Body - end, then Apply.
  4. Check the published site on your connected domain.

Add the inline chat to one page

  1. Add an Embed HTML element to the contact page.
  2. Paste BOTH the script and the inline container into the same Embed HTML element.
  3. Give the element enough fixed height for the chat, then publish and test.

Copy your code

Your working snippet comes from your dashboard: Settings > Embed. Some console views show Embed on the dashboard overview. Choose Floating button or Inline on a page and copy the complete code.

These are placeholder examples. Replace YOUR_PUBLIC_KEY with your account's public key, or copy your actual snippet from the dashboard. Keep the existing container id and data-target together.

Placeholder code
<script src="https://chat.fix8media.com/api/public/widget.js" data-key="YOUR_PUBLIC_KEY" async></script>

Inline code example

Placeholder code
<div id="fix8-chat"></div>
<script src="https://chat.fix8media.com/api/public/widget.js" data-key="YOUR_PUBLIC_KEY" data-mode="inline" data-target="#fix8-chat" async></script>

Common problems

The floating bubble must use Custom Code, not an Embed HTML element.

Embed HTML runs in a sandboxed frame. Inline chat is contained in that frame and cannot resize the surrounding page automatically.

If messages fail in an embedded frame, contact support to check its origin and allowed domains.
