Before you start
You need an active Fix8 AI Chat account and your account's public embed key.
Custom code requires a paid Site plan or Workspace plan.
Install the floating chat
- Open Site settings > Custom code.
- Paste the floating snippet into Footer code and Save.
- Publish the site and test the published domain.
Add the inline chat to one page
- Open the contact page and use the Add panel > Code Embed element.
- Paste the entire inline snippet and save the element.
- Publish the site.
Copy your code
Your working snippet comes from your dashboard: Settings > Embed. Some console views show Embed on the dashboard overview. Choose Floating button or Inline on a page and copy the complete code.
These are placeholder examples. Replace YOUR_PUBLIC_KEY with your account's public key, or copy your actual snippet from the dashboard. Keep the existing container id and data-target together.

Scripts run on the published site, not in the Designer.
Saving custom code is not enough. Publish again after changes.
If testing a staging domain, ask Fix8 to confirm it is on the allowed domains list.
