Use your own dashboard code, then test the published site.

Before you start

You need an active Fix8 AI Chat account and your account's public embed key.

Code Injection and JavaScript in Code blocks require Core, Plus or Advanced, not Basic.

Install the floating chat

  1. Look for Website tools or Developer tools > Code Injection.
  2. Paste the floating snippet into the Footer field and save.
  3. Test the published site while logged out or in Safe Mode.

Add the inline chat to one page

  1. Edit the contact page and choose Add block > Code.
  2. Set Mode to HTML and paste the full inline snippet.
  3. Save the page, then test while logged out.

Copy your code

Your working snippet comes from your dashboard: Settings > Embed. Some console views show Embed on the dashboard overview. Choose Floating button or Inline on a page and copy the complete code.

These are placeholder examples. Replace YOUR_PUBLIC_KEY with your account's public key, or copy your actual snippet from the dashboard. Keep the existing container id and data-target together.

Common problems

Scripts often do not run while you are logged in to the editor. Test logged out or in Safe Mode.

Code Injection does not run on checkout pages.

The location of Code Injection varies across recent versions and plan interfaces.
