Install on GoDaddy Website Builder

Before you start

You need an active Fix8 AI Chat account and your account's public embed key.

GoDaddy Website Builder does not support site-wide custom scripts. Its HTML sections run inside a frame, so the floating bubble is not supported. Use inline chat instead.

Install inline chat

Open the page where you want the chat.
Choose Add Section > HTML.
Paste the script and inline container together into Custom Code.
Size the section tall enough, then Publish.

Add the inline chat to one page

Use the complete inline snippet in a single HTML section, not separate sections for the container and script.
Set a suitable fixed height and test it on a phone as well as a desktop.

Copy your code

Your working snippet comes from your dashboard: Settings > Embed. Some console views show Embed on the dashboard overview. Choose Floating button or Inline on a page and copy the complete code.

These are placeholder examples. Replace YOUR_PUBLIC_KEY with your account's public key, or copy your actual snippet from the dashboard. Keep the existing container id and data-target together.

On GoDaddy Website Builder, use only the inline example. The floating example is shown for reference and is not supported there.

Common problems

A floating bubble cannot escape GoDaddy's embedded frame. Contact us about alternatives if you need chat on every page.

A frame can change the origin used by the chat. Contact support if the chat appears but messages are rejected.

Publish after editing and allow enough room for the conversation.
